Commodity Resource Corporation

The Commodity Resource Corporation’s (CRC) Caledonia, NY facility is the region’s largest dairy feed manufacturing facility and dry fertilizer distribution center. CRC also contains rail/truck transload and receiving infrastructure. Their site is centrally located in New York’s largest and most productive agricultural region. It contains 40 additional acres of industrial property, which is surrounded by several miles of CRC-owned rail infrastructure.

In November 2014, the original Commodity Resource Corporation facility was destroyed by a catastrophic fire that could be seen from as far as Monroe County - close to 15 miles away. The company rebuilt on the same site where they will transload, store, and distribute dairy feed ingredients as well as manufacture dairy feed blends. Commodity Resource Corporation owns the facility and currently leases it to Land O’Lakes-owned Purina Animal Nutrition.

With a total project cost of $16,266,500, the Livingston County IDA is assisting Commodity Resource Corporation in the form of a PILOT (payment instead of taxes), sales tax exemptions, and a mortgage recording exemption.
