Livingston County Industrial Development Agency
The Livingston County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) is a public benefit corporation of the State of New York authorized under Section 18A of the General Municipal Law. The Livingston County IDA was created through a home rule request to the New York State Legislature which was granted a Chapter 132 of the Laws of 1973. The board consists of seven members, all appointed by the Livingston County Board of Supervisors; they serve at the pleasure of the board.
The mission of the Industrial Development Agency is to create and retain employment opportunities for the locals of Livingston County and generate tax revenues to support government services. This mission is accomplished through the financing, development, sponsorship, acquisition, construction, and equipping of certain economic development projects. Through the fulfillment of the agency’s mission, the agency expects to deliver employment, health, general prosperity, economic welfare, and needed services for the locals of Livingston County.
Regular monthly meetings are held on the first Friday of the month except when such dates precede or immediately following a holiday. Special meetings are called as necessary. All meetings are held at the Livingston County Government Center unless otherwise identified. Public Notices of all regular agency meetings are placed in the agency’s official newspapers. Notice of special meetings is also published or posted in accordance with New York’s open meetings law.

Livingston County Development Corporation
The Livingston County Development Corporation (LCDC) is a Type “C” corporation under Section 201 of the Not-For-Profit Corporation Law. Its purposes are defined under Section 1411 of the Not-For-Profit Corporation Law as defined in Section 102(a)(5). The Livingston County Board of Supervisors incorporated the LCDC in 1987.
The purposes of the Livingston County Development Corporation are to relieve and reduce unemployment, to promote and provide for additional employment, to maintain job opportunities and to better job opportunities, to instruct and train individuals to improve or develop their capabilities for jobs, to carry on scientific research for the purpose of adding to the county by attracting business and industry to the area, or by encouraging the development of, or retention of business in the area and to lessen the burden of government and to act in the public interest.

Livingston County Capital Resource Corporation
The Livingston County Capital Resource Corporation (CRC) is a local development corporation of the State of New York authorized under Section 201 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law. The Livingston County CRC was created through a Local Law enacted in 2010 by the Livingston County Board of Supervisors. The Corporation’s operating certificate was granted by the New York State Department of State on September 14, 2010. The board consists of seven members, all appointed by the Livingston County Board of Supervisors. They serve at the pleasure of the board.
The mission of the Capital Resource Corporation is to create and retain employment opportunities for the locals of Livingston County and generate tax revenues to support government services. This mission is accomplished through the issuance of tax-exempt and taxable civic facility revenue bonds for certain economic development projects. Through the fulfillment of the corporation’s mission, the corporation expects to deliver employment, health and general prosperity, economic welfare, and needed services for the locals of Livingston County.
