GENESEO — Livingston County Economic Development is celebrating National Economic Development Week from May 6 to May 10.
The annual event recognizes the vital contributions of economic developers in fostering vibrant communities and propelling economic growth and innovation.
National Economic Development Week coincides with the four-year anniversary of Grow LivCo, an initiative spearheaded by Livingston County Economic Development with the goal of stimulating transformative economic growth across the county. From revitalizing local towns and main streets to fostering economic prosperity and enhancing residents' quality of life, Grow LivCo illustrates the county’s commitment to cultivating a strong and prosperous region, county officials said in a news release.
"This year we embarked on various endeavors aimed at enriching the business ecosystem and enhancing the quality of life in Livingston County," said Bill Bacon, director of Livingston County Economic Development. "One of our recent focal points was helping local businesses identify economic and tourism-related opportunities that arose from the influx of visitors we experienced during the total solar eclipse across Livingston County on April 8.”
As Livingston County commemorates Economic Development Week, it remains committed to fostering growth and prosperity for its residents and businesses, the county said in the news release.
